The Mind

November 2, 2008 at 9:48 pm (Dominic Alapat, Poetry)

An animal, its own nature,

meanders silently. Sometimes

light sheds grace on places.

Walls, a walk through grass;

and the world which is greater

than you stays. Buildings, trees,

more buildings and grey hills

in the distance disappearing

into a blur in the sky.

The animal meanders silently,

the animal who cannot be satisfied,

who cannot understand.
